CSS

This article highlights 10 CSS tips and tricks that are useful for beginners. It was published by Make Use Of (MUO).com, and written by Yuvraj Chandra. This link in particular is helpful because it shows examples of the code to create the advanced effect, not just the description of the effect and the tag to use. Resource found on 2/10/2023.

This article explains the interaction between CSS and accessibility tools users have when trying to use websites, and explains how to begin your CSS with accessibility and the user experience at the forefront of your design. It was written by Manuel Matuzovic and published on 9/18/2017. It has not been updated since then. I found it on 2/10/2023.

This article was published just last year on 3/1/2022. Written by Michelle Barker for Smashing Magazine, it hasn't been updated since it was published. It explains the new CSS features that are coming out in 2022 that may not be in other guides for CSS. Found on 2/10/2023.

Color and Design

This tool, Coolers.Co, provides randomly generated color pallettes with color codes. Just select a color palette and select the rgb color code to add the color to your CSS stylesheet. It was written by Coolers.Co.

Very helpful for developers just starting out with CSS, because it explains the connections between how humans perceive information and the design itself. Written by Andrew Spencer on 8/8/2019, it was updated on 9/16/2019. I found it on 2/10/2023.
